Dr. Catherine Weng was drawn to this specialty because of the complex three dimensional problem solving involved in head and neck surgery, which she felt particularly well suited for with her interest and background in art and architecture. After residency training she completed additional fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery with Dr. Vito Quatela in Rochester, NY. where she found unique satisfaction in reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures. During her fellowship training she traveled to Guatemala, Vietnam and Ecuador with HUGS (Help Us Give Smiles) Foundation performing reconstructive surgery for children born with microtia (underdeveloped ears) and cleft lip and palate. She found these missions to be life changing and plans to continue her participation and support of them here in Colorado.
Dr. Weng and her husband moved to Colorado in 2016 with their cat Crookshanks and puppy Ruthie. In her free time Dr. Weng enjoys running, snowboarding, cooking, and traveling. In addition to traveling for leisure, Dr. Weng has an interest in participating in medical missions.
