Dr. Odackal grew up in Chicago, spent seven years in New York City and most recently moved from Charlottesville, Virginia to Montana. She received a bachelor of arts in psychology from the University of Chicago. She earned a doctorate in osteopathy from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York. Dr. Odackal completed her residency in pediatrics and her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine.
Dr. Odackal was initially attracted to Neonatology for the opportunity to take care of systemic and acute pathology in the most fragile of patients. She quickly developed a passion for helping parents understand the disease process their babies are experiencing as a way for them to better cope with their family’s time in the NICU. Board certified in pediatrics, Dr. Odackal is compassionate, thoughtful and deliberate in her efforts to move her patient care forward.
“I may end up drawing you something to explain your baby’s care – my goal is to make you feel more in control by helping you understand the NICU world as best as I can.”
When not at work, Dr. Odackal love indulging in good food with her husband, snuggling with their two cats and playing board games. She relaxes by spending time surrounded by nature and drawing.
