Dr. Kurtz received his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine and is a board certified neurologist. He completed fellowship training in movement disorders, residency training in neurology, an internship in internal medicine and served as Chief Resident of Neurology at University of North Carolina Hospital. He has participated in numerous neurology research trials.
Dr. Kurtz offers a wide range of expertise to care for people with movement disorders. From optimizing medication treatment to helping people better manage Parkinson's disease, to qualifying and managing those who elect DBS treatment, he provides every patient with individualized care and a customized treatment plan. Dr. Kurtz believes in a patient-centric approach to practicing medicine. He focuses on shared decision making with both the patient and the patient’s family. With extensive training in movement disorders, he works to provide all his patients with individualized care and a tailored treatment plan. Dr. Kurtz finds caring for his patients truly rewarding and is passionate about his work.
