Emily Godfrey joined the Center for Brain and Spine in 2014, after practicing for three years at the Grand Junction Veterans’ Hospital with the surgical service. She is a certified PA and has been practicing as a PA since 2010. Emily earned her master’s of health sciences at Drexel University in Philadelphia. Prior to entering the PA profession, she worked as an EMT - Paramedic practicing in Pennsylvania.
Emily earned her undergraduate degree at Union College, in Schenectady, New York, with a major in geology/chemistry. She then traveled to Montana where she earned her first master’s degree in geology specializing in hydrogeology and man-made impacts to our groundwater system. After working for several years within hydrogeology, she chose to pursue a career in direct patient care. As a PA with the Center for Brain and Spine, she works closely with the neurosurgeons assisting in taking complete medical histories, neurological exams, and first assisting in the operating room for a range of neurosurgical procedures, including brain surgery, spine surgery, neuro-trauma and general surgery.
Emily’s love for the outdoors brought her to Colorado.
