Originally from Aurora, Illinois, Deb received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

Deb feels the field of medicine has always been attractive, and the thought of helping people in need no matter their financial resources, and helping them improve their quality of life, is an important aspect of her career. The relationship, collaboration, and partnership developed with patients and their families are very fulfilling in seeing goals of care met and improvement in patient’s functional status.

Deb has lived in Colorado since 1991. She transferred from the heart failure program at University of Utah with Dr. Michael Bristow and moved to Colorado to help develop the heart failure treatment program with the University of Colorado's Heart Failure and Transplant program until 2010, when she joined SCL Health.

Deb is married with three sons. She enjoys hiking with her husband and Labrador retriever in the Evergreen area. For downtime, Deb is a whiz at “Gummy Drop” and “Words with Friends.”

Was having difficulty breathing, receptionist noticed & grabbed oxygen, *Deb noticed water retention severe & ordered IV Lasix and kept me in clinic until lost enough water, love this office!!!
