Dr. Dull grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois. He then received his medical degree from Michigan State University in Lansing. Before joining SCL Health, Dr. Dull completed a general surgery residency, followed by a surgical critical care fellowship. It was during a medical mission trip to Honduras in middle school when he saw how surgical care could change people’s lives. “I love being able to come along side people who are struggling and help them find answers to their questions and solutions to their problems.” Since then, he knew he wanted surgery to be his career path.

Some of Dr. Dull’s areas of clinical interest include upper gastrointestinal surgery, trauma care, complex chest wall injuries and thyroid surgery.
When he is not at work, Dr. Dull enjoys running, cooking and spending time with family.
