Dr. Barnes is originally from Lawton, Oklahoma. His clinical interests are deep vein thrombosis, COVID-19 treatment, and blunt and penetrating trauma. He’s passionate about laparoscopic options in surgery, resuscitation, managing critically ill patients, and working on complex problems to find a simple workable solution for patients.

Dr. Barnes completed a General Surgery residency at the University of Missouri and a Surgical Critical Care fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. He was formerly a Clinical Surgical Instructor at Washington University in the section of Acute and Critical Care Surgery. When not in the office he enjoys weight lifting, fishing, golf, and spending time in the great outdoors.
