Dr. William D. Anderson received his medical degree from Duke University. He completed internal medicine residency training at Vanderbilt University and pursued both general and interventional cardiology training at Emory University. Dr. Anderson is board certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and has been honored as a Harvard University Visiting Fellow in Medicine. His clinical interests are focused on interventional therapies in structural heart disease and he has extensive experience in valvuloplasty, transcatheter aortic valve implantation/replacement, ASD and PFO repair and left atrial appendage exclusion. He has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials on these subjects and was on the Steering Committee for the CoreValve US Pivotal Trial.
