Understanding Birth

What is labor? This class is for expectant moms and their partner as it will provide you with accurate information that will empower you and help you prepare for the birth of your new baby.  Certified instructors will cover the physical changes and discomforts of pregnancy, the labor and birth process, medications and interventions options that may be used during your labor.  How to utilize breathing and relaxation techniques to cope with your labor, the role of your support person, cesarean births, breastfeeding, routine newborn procedures and post-partum care. 

Special guest may include OB Physicians, Midwives and Pediatricians.

Registration Instructions:

Please register for this class in your third trimester. Full Payment is required to reserve your spot in class.  Class starts promptly at 630pm so please allow time for parking etc. Park in the parking garage, enter hospital and take Monument Elevators to the 5th floor.

Please feel free to bring a drink/snack.  All cancellations must be done 72 hours PRIOR TO class date in order to receive full refund.  Classes are subject to cancellation or date change due to low registrants/weather you will be moved to another date or a full refund.
