A Birthday Wish: COVID-19 Patient Receives Haircut

Caring for patients with COVID-19 takes a very special group of people. Their compassion and simple acts of kindness make a big difference in the lives of those they serve. The St. Vincent Healthcare COVID-19 Unit recently found a meaningful and joyful way to celebrate one of their patient's birthdays. Their patient, George, was turning 96 years old and he had a simple birthday wish: a haircut. The team was honored to help him receive that wish -- and more. In addition to giving him a fresh haircut, they brightened his special day with balloons and a delicious chocolate cake. It was a heartwarming celebration for all those involved.
