Holy Rosary Healthcare, now part of Intermountain Healthcare, has opened its newly remodeled Medical Surgical West unit focused on patient care. The remodeled unit provides swing bed services, allowing patients to remain or transfer to the facility for rehabilitation services, serving individuals in a transition phase of illness or recovery that no longer require acute care services. The program provides personalized nursing care and individualized therapies to assist patients in reaching their highest potential for health and independence before returning home.

“Our incredible caregivers are thrilled to work and provide care in this beautifully remodeled unit,” shared Kerri Galisky, Acute Care Manager, Holy Rosary Healthcare, “We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped us transform this incredible space for us to live out our mission of improving the health of our patients.”

In addition to remodeled patient rooms, there are additional areas for patients to enjoy during their healing process, including a social area for dining and lounging with a fireplace and outdoor patio space. Patients will also utilize an updated therapy room with new equipment such as a treatment bed, stairs, parallel bars, ultrasound and electric stimulation equipment, and a NuStep exerciser.

The open concept and comfortable atmosphere with private rooms was designed to help with the recovery process of patients.

“I believe we succeeded in creating a restful, healing area that has a warm atmosphere for our patients and families as they recover,” shared Karen Costello, President, Holy Rosary Healthcare. “We are overjoyed to provide our patients with this calming and peaceful space that helps ensure our ability to deliver safe, high-quality care to all those we serve at Holy Rosary.”
